The responsibilities of an Authorised Representative are typically the EPR duties of the producer. Consequently, they may differ depending on the specific EPR regulations in a particular national jurisdiction. Some typical duties, carried out on behalf of the producer, may include: submitting reports and data to regulatory authorities, finalising contracts, and liaising with Producer Responsibility Organisations, ensuring compliance with EPR obligations, and serving as a point of contact for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
We only need some documents from you during the registration process, such as a current extract from the commercial register, product detail.
Once registered, you will need to provide regular EPR data on your product sales, so that we can report this data to the recycling company.
You must also provide your EPR number to online marketplaces, if applicable, and in your invoice. And also, you will need to pay the contribution fee from the recycling companies and authorities.
We will take care of everything else for you, i.e., registration, communication with recycling companies and authorities, etc.
Yes, in some counties and categories. For example, Germany’s WEEE, an Authorised Representative assumes certain legal responsibilities on behalf of the producer. This may include liability for fulfilling reporting requirements, payment of fees, and compliance with regulatory obligations outlined in EPR legislation.
