Additional requirements for overseas sellers
An additional change to the existing ElektroG legislation came into force on the 10th August 2015, changing the definition of a ‘producer’. Together with the original legislation, the new legislation is known as ElektroG2.
In addition to expanding the definition of a ‘producer’ to cover most merchants, any overseas producers without a legal presence in Germany must register for WEEE via an Authorised Representative (AR). The appointed AR would then take over all registration and reporting requirements on behalf of the producer.
Any overseas sellers who previously held a valid WEEE registration were required to re-register in line with this new requirement.

We provide a standard registration and reporting service for GBP 350, and GBP 150 per additional category/brand.
DE – WEEE with TBA Global
Our standard registration and reporting service is GBP 700 for German-based businesses, and GBP 1000 for non-German businesses:
- Registration & reporting/renewal fee: GBP 300
- Mandatory recycling contribution: GBP 400
- Authorised Representative fee: GBP 300 (for businesses without a legal presence in Germany)
Additional categories can be registered and reported for GBP 480:
- Registration/renewal fee: GBP 80
- Mandatory recycling contribution: GBP 400
Additional brands can be registered and reported for GBP 200:
- Registration/renewal fee: GBP 50
- Mandatory recycling contribution: GBP 150
